A tall native tree which yields high value hardwood, but is also grown for paper pulp. It is popular here on the Atherton Tablelands for interplanting in syntropic agriculture systems, where it is used as a chop and drop species to add carbon and organic matter to the soil. It also has potential for use in carbon farming. Creamy white flowers are followed by large pods (for a eucalypt), which can be used for arts and crafts.
