Phyllanthus emblica "Indian Gooseberry" or "Amla"

A small bushy tree which bears tart green fruit, most often used to make desserts, jams & chutneys. It is deciduous in cold weather or if under stress. Used in Ayurvedic medicine. The fruits are also used in conjunction with coconut oil to make a hair treatment.
